SUFIYANA Acetate partners with Eastman's Carbon Renewal Technology to repurpose wasted acetate. Eastman's carbon renewal technology is a large-scale, efficient recycling technology that can recycle mixed plastic waste that is not recycled today, including non-polyester plastics and mixed plastics that can't be recycled with conventional recycling technology.
The Bigger Picture
Mazzucchelli, the Italian cellulose acetate supplier provides sheets of natural-origin acetate to Sufiyana Co. for our Sufiyana Acetate material frames. In partnership, Mazzuchelli has decided to begin manufacturing sheets with ACETATE RENEW - using a single flake of acetate that transforms plastic waste into primary molecules that become the raw material for new sheets. Sufiyana Co. continues to pioneer sustainability efforts in eyewear, plastic waste and high fashion by bringing together labels, technologies, labs and above all, enthusiastic customers.
